Tulips, Tradition, Turquoise Waters: Holland, Michigan's Triple Treat

November is the month of giving thanks.  Today I am thankful for this place I call home. Holland, Michigan is indeed a great tourist destination with much to offer besides your private cruise with Ahh Venture Cruise. 1. Tulip Time Festival: One of the most famous traditions in Holland is the annual Tulip Time Festival, traditionally held the first part of May.  This festival celebrates the Dutch heritage of the area with millions of tulips in bloom, traditional Dutch costumes, parades, Dutch dance performances, historical tours of the area, and so much more.  
2. Holland Farmers Market:  While not exclusively Dutch, the farmers market is a longstanding tradition in Holland. It's a place for the community to come together to buy fresh, local produce, flowers, and artisanal products.
3. Dutch Influence in Cuisine: Local restaurants and bakeries in Holland offer Dutch-inspired dishes, pastries, and cheeses. It's a tradition for visitors to sample Dutch food, such as poffertjes (small Dutch pancakes) and Dutch apple pie.
