Ahoy there Mates!  Today I take time out to express our heartfelt appreciation to the winter sanctuary of Ahh! Venture Cruise and the place of our summer launch pad.  I'm talking about ME Yacht Restoration, a place that is truly above and beyond in the category of marine vessel care for winter and summer needs. It's not just about boats; it's about the people, the service, and the atmosphere that make it a top-notch destination for boaters from all over the Great Lakes.  From the moment we step inside the storage facility, we're greeted by the luxury of heated floors, motion sensor lighting and 24/7 access that is a testament to the thoughtfulness behind the design. The safety of floating docks for summer are not only convenient, they provide safety for easy on and off to family, friends, and guests.  The summer of 2023 has been filled with major landscaping including preparation for growth on the water's side along with trees, shrubs, flowers, fencing and lighting, making the summer views nothing short of spectacular for a marina. 

Perhaps the most enjoyable aspect of ME Yacht Restoration is their unwavering commitment to customer care and management's care of their staff.  Whether it's answering questions, providing advice, or assisting with boat related matters, they're experts who truly care about their customers.  Just take a look at the photos above and you will not only see modern day methods of hauling out extremely large boats, but it's done by remote control trailers managed by confident and capable young workers balancing on One Wheels as they haul.  Come on Captain Cal...let's keep up with these youngsters and try  the One Wheels ourselves.  Ouch!!!

Ahoy Mates!  In the case of our sea-loving hearts, Friday the 13th was a special day for Americans.  Not because of its reputation as a day of bad luck and superstition, but because Friday, October 13, 2023 celebrates the 248th birthday of the United States Navy!  I'm sorry that I missed it on Friday, but today we set things right!  On October 13, 1775 the Continental Congress authorized the establishment of a naval force to protect American interests at sea.  The pride I feel for the men and women who have served and continue to serve in the US Navy is immeasurable.  They've safeguarded our shores, defended our freedoms, and upheld the honor and traditions of this illustrious institution for nearly 250 years.    Though it is a belated salute, it is a heartfelt one! 

For all of those who choose to cruise with us, you will be honored to navigate the waters with Captain Cal, a US Navy Veteran.  Here's to you Captain Cal and to the brave men and women who have served and continue to serve under the banner of the US Navy!
